My favorite makeup brushes (Real Techniques) Part 2 - eyes

Here it is, the second part of my favorite makeup brushes.
Here are all my favorite and best eye-makeup brushes.

Deluxe Crease Brush
This brush is great for highlighting.
I use it to highlight my brow bone and
even to highlight my cheekbones. It's also
good for powdering the under-eye area.

Base Shadow Brush
I looove this brush! It's flat and
a bit pointy so it's really easy to do the crease
and it's almost impossible to screw it up. You
can even use it as a blending brush.
The brush is a base shadow brush  but
it doesn't take as much product as I would expect
a base shadow brush to do.

Shading brush
Like almost all the other brushes,
I don't use them as the name suggests how
I should use them, sooo I use this one for the base.
It takes up a lot a product and therefore is the brush perfect
for setting the base eyeshadow.

Brow Brush
This brush is so good for doing your eyebrows.
It's not too soft and just the perfect shape.
The size of the brush is just right for my eyebrows
so i can do them in no time!

That's it for my favorite makeup brushes,
I hope you liked it!

My favorite makeup brushes (Real Techniques) Part 1 - Base

Good makeup brushes are a big part of making your makeup look flawless.
It's really difficult to get a natural makeup look using bad quality makeup
brushes. I thought I would share with you guys my favorite makeup brushes.
You might notice that all of my favorite makeup brushes are from
Real Techniques, they are just such good quality and they are affordable.
.This will topic will be divided into two blog posts, in this post I'm writing about
the brushes I use for the base and for part 2 I will write about the eye makeup
brushes.

Powder Brush
I use this brush for my powder (obviously)
The brush is super soft so it doesn't take to
much product at once. It's also really big
so it takes literally 5 seconds to apply the
powder on your face. Also, if I but too much
bronzer or blush I just use this brush to get some of the
product off.

Expert Face Brush
I use this brush for my foundation. With a good
foundation, the brush makes it look very natural
and it's also really easy to build up your foundation
using this brush. You can also use it to
blend your concealer.

Blush Brush
Not only my favorite brush but also my most used.
I actually use it a lot more often to apply bronzer than blush.
The brush picks just the right amount of bronzer, so you
don't have to spend a lot of time swirling your brush in the product
until you get the right amount, but it also doesn't take too much
product so you will look like an oompa loompa.

Let me know what makeup brushes are your favorite!

Kylie Jenner inspired makeup look

Yes, I'm one of those people who is obsessed with Kylie Jenner's makeup look,
I mean, her makeup looks flawless! So i thought I would show you guys my makeup look
inspired by Kylie.

After applying foundation and concealer, I used five makeup products to get her signature look.

1 - Eyebrows
I didn't do much other than filling my in my eyebrows to get her eyebrow look. I used the darker color of the Brow & Liner Kit in 01 from the Body Shop

2- Bronzer
To get Kylie's sun-kissed look, I used my favorite bronzer Bahama mama from the balm

3 - Eyeshadow
From my Naked 2 palette, I used foxy all over my eyelid - a bright highlighting shade, and then tease in the crease - a beautiful brown/purple shade.

4 - eyelashes
To get Kylie's long lushious lashes I used they're real mascara from benefit.

5 - lips
Finaly for the most important part to get Kylies signature look, the lips. I recently bought the color drama intense velvet lip pencil in 630 nude perfection, which I absoloutely love! It's a nude brownish color, perfect to finish off the look.

May Favorites

Heeellooooo June!
Oh how I've missed you.
Before we get all excited about June,
I want to show you guys my May Favorites.
So here they are!

Beyoncé Heat The Mrs.Carter Show World Tour Perfume
Queen Bee has done it again!
She has made yet another perfume but this is
not the newest one. I love her perfumes but I have never
owned one until this May when I got it for my birthday.
It smells soooo good. It's fresh, light and reminds me of summer
on the beach.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
It's no secret that this is my favorite concealer
ever. You have probably seen this concealer before in
my other posts. I was looking for a concealer
that didn't look cakey on my dry skin but could still conceal my
very dark circles and I found this one. Not only is it really, really good
but it's also cheap! You should definitely try this one if you are looking
for a good, cheap concealer.

17 Blusher in China Pink
I've had this blush for a while but it's still
available at boots (the packaging is a bit different though).
It's such a beautiful color and
it's perfect for a natural summer makeup look.

HD Nailpolish in Sweet Cosmopolitan
I have been wearing this color a lot this May
(I'm even wearing it right now as I'm typing this post)
It's a beautiful bright peachy shade, perfect for summer.

Necklace from SIX
I got this necklace for my birthday and it's so
pretty. It goes with so many outfits and I love the mixture of
mint and gold. You should definitely check out the jewelry in
SIX if you have a store near you, the jewelry is so pretty!

April Favorites

Finally! May is here, my favorite month because
A - May is my birthday month,
B - It's finally getting a little bit warmer outside,
C - It's almost summer!
So here are my favorites for this month.

Nivea Tinted Moisturizing Day Care
I have used this moisturizer a lot this month,
mostly on weekends when I want to lay off the makeup
a bit and keep things natural. You might be wondering
why I'm using a tinted moisturizer instead of BB or CC cream
and the reason is simple, I just needed something a bit more
moisturizing than a BB or CC cream.

Batiste Dry Shampoo
I'm pretty sure this is not the first time I have
included the Batiste Dry Shampoo in my favorites
but since I cut my hair short I have been using it
a lot to add volume to my hair.

Lee Stafford Sea Salt Spray
I have owned this sea salt spray for a while
but I didn't really use it. When I cut my hair I started
using it again and I really liked it. I spray it in my hair
in the mornings and it gives my hair soft waves, which
I really like.

H&M Lip Pen
I have used this lip pen so much this month!
It reminds me of summer and the color
is just beautiful. It's a buttery texture so it won't leave
your lips dry. It's not quite a lipgloss but it's not a lipstick
either, it's somewhere in the middle and I have a feeling
I will be using this lip pen a lot this summer.

The Body Shop Shea Beautifying Oil
If you haven't tried this oil from the body shop
you are missing out on a lot, let me tell yah!
I was watching Essie Button on youtube and she
was saying how much she loved this oil so
I decided to give it a go. I'm really glad I did
because it's amazing. There are like four or five
smells you can choose from but I chose the Shea one, it
smells so good and luxurious. It says on the bottle that you
can use the oil on your body, face and hair. I use it instead of
a body lotion. It leaves your skin soooo soft and you don't have to
wait until it sinks into your skin. It's just so much better than body butters!
You have to give this one a go.

My makeup look for spring

Nivea Tinted Moisturizer, Loreal True Match Powder, Rimmel Natural Bronzer,
H&M Highlighter, Etos Baked Blush, NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder,
Bourjois Volume Clubbing Ultra Black Mascara, H&M Lip Pencil

My makeup rutine has chagned a bit now since it's getting a bit warmer
and brighter outside. Instead of wearing foundation I wear a tinted moisturizer
from Nivea, it has SPF 8 and it looks really natural on your skin.
After applying the moisturizer apply my true match powder from Loreal so my makeup
will last a bit longer. To get a sunny glow I use the natural bronzer from rimmel and a highlighter
from h&m. To make my face more alive and fresher I use a baked blush from etos, a beautiful bright
pink color. Okay, you cannot forget to do your eyebrows, it makes all the difference! My favorite eyebrow product is the eyebrow cake powder from NYX. Then I apply my favorite mascara which is the bourjois volume clubbing ultra black mascara. The last product I use is a lip pencil from h&m,
the color is amazing, bright (almost barbie) pink with a bit of purple in it and
makes this look perfect for spring or summer!

March Favorites

I am sooo late with this post! I've been meaning to do this post for days.
You know how it is when you have to do something but you never give yourself
time to do it, if you know what I mean haha. Anyways here are my March favorites.

John Frieda sheer blonde shampoo & conditioner
This has been my go to shampoo and conditioner this month. It leaves your hair so soft and smelling so good. I don't recommend using it if you have dark hair though, your hair might turn a bit orange. I love that the shampoo and conditioner don't leave my hair frizzy or heavy. If you haven't tried any of the John Frieda
hair products, you are missing a lot.

Nip+Fab Glucolic Scrub Fix
I needed a good face scrub for mah face and I was so impressed by my Nip+Fab body butter that I though that I would give this one a try. I am really glad I did because it is such a good face scrub. First of all it smells ah-mazing, like candy. It leaves your face so refreshing and smooth and you really feel like you are getting all the dirt out of your face. I don't recommend using it every day, it might not be good for your skin.

RealTechniques Blush Brus
I've had this one for a while now but lately I've been loving wearing blushes and this is my absolute favorite brush to use. The blush applies so nicely, evenly and it looks so natural.

NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder
I think I have never mentioned this brow powder before, which is weird because I use it EVERYDAY! It is so amazing, it has two shades of brown and a gel but I never use the gel because luckily, I feel I don't have to because my eyebrows pretty much stay the same all day long. I feel my eyebrows look really natural if I use both shades, so I like to mix them together and it looks really great.

These are my March favorites!

February Favorites

February is over and March is here!
Here are my favorites for February

Instyle - UK
Instyle is one of my favorite magazines.
It has everything I want in a magazine which is
fashion, makeup, hair, celebrities and so much more.
I think the cover for the March issue is so beautiful, the
colors are so pretty!

L'Occitane Hand cream
This hand cream is the best!
The smell is okay, some people might not like it
but it's so hydrating and not that greasy. I use
this a lot during the cold months, hopefully I won't
need it for March!

Rimmel - Natural Bronzer
I love this bronzer and I always go back
to it. I mostly use it when I don't have a tan
because some bronzers are a bit orange, which I don't like but .
this one is perfect. If you are looking for a great, cheap bronzer you
should definitely try this one.

Primark Necklace
I bought this necklace last December when I
was in Amsterdam. I have used it so much, especially
this February. You can wear it with dresses or jumpers
which I often do and it's really cheap too.

Rimmel - Stay Matte Foundation
Another great product from Rimmel. Latley my
skin color has been a bit uneven and I felt like my BB cream
didn't cover it completely. When I came home from a long
school day, the BB cream had also worn off so I thought
I would try wearing foundation instead. I was skeptical at first
because I thought it would be too heavy, but if you just use a
small amount it looks really natural and my makeup lasts so much
longer now.

OPI - I'm Feeling Sashy

You can never have too many nailpolishes!

How pretty is the I'm feeling sashy nailpolish from OPI.
My favorite nailpolishes are from OPI, they have the
most beautiful colors and they last for days.
The nailpolish is purple but it has a little bit of brown in it.
I think it's great for this time, winter but almost spring.
My rings are from Accessorize, (I bought them ages ago)
I thought they looked great with the nailpolish, so girly!

January Favorites

January Favorites

It's the beginning of February, which means January Favorites!
I love doing my monthly favorites and i picked four things for this month.
I have three beauty favorites and one fashion so here they are

Max Factor Mastertouch Concealer
This is a great concealer, it covers my dark circles
and it doesn't leave my skin dry. I wouldn't say it lasts
all day but I think it is necessary to apply every six hours or so.
If you are looking for a good drugstore concealer, you should
try this one!

Bourjois Volume Clubbing Ultra Black Mascara
This is my first mascara from Bourjois and
it's amazing. It lengthens my eyelashes and it isn't clumpy.
It doesn't smudge and the formula isn't dry.
If you want even thicker and longer eyelashes you should
try wearing the Bourjois mascara and the maybelline Rocket mascara
together.

Frilly Socks
These socks are from River Island but I got mine
in Primark and I've been wearing them a lot this month.
I wear them with boots and it's also super cute to wear
them with converse. They are also really cheap in Primark.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 101
I have already done a review of this mascara
and if you have read it you'll know how much I love it.
It's the perfect pink/nude shade and it's creamy so
it will not leave your lips dry and it's a perfect everyday
lipstick.

That's it for my favorites!

School Essentials

School has started again after a long winter break.
I wanted to show you some school essentials, that might
come in handy. For me, this is quite a lot of stuff and I don't take
everything to school with me, but you might get some ideas.
So here they are!

I recently bought this purple travel mug and I have used it everyday. I love a warm
cup of tea on cold winter mornings. It's from Bodum and it keeps my tea hot for at least 3 hours.
Don't keep it in your bag though, it might spill.
Mints are a must for me. I love the intense mint tic tacs, makes your breath
so fresh.

Here are my beauty and skin musts. Hand sanitizers are probably something
that you already have in your schoolbag. Mine is strawberry from the Body Shop and it
smells soooo good. If I had to choose one makeup product to take with me to school
I would pick a concealer for my dark under eye circles. I always get dark circles, no matter
how much I sleep. My favorite concealer is the wake me up concealer from Rimmel. It covers
my dark circles and it doesn't dry out my skin. I have done a little review of the Burt's bees
Lip balm and if you read it or tried the lip balm, you'll know how great it is. It's super moisturizing
and it smells like peppermint! Maybe it's just me, but I always need to have a nail file with me,
just in case if my nail splits, I hate when that happens! During winters I always carry a hand cream
because my hands tend to get pretty dry during winters. My favorite is from L'occitane and it works wonders.
I often wear my hair down, but sometimes my hair gets in the way and it can be
very annoying. I always have a hair elastic and bobby pins in my bag. I love scrunchies, because they
don't give you a headache and they are also so cute! I bought mine from Six.
I use my Ipad mini everyday in school. I use it to do projects and it's so much easier
than bringing a heavy laptop. I also use my planner everyday. I bought it in Amsterdam
and I use it to plan my day, write down my homework and other important stuff. I don't
know what I would do if I didn't have my planner!

That's it for my school essentials, hope you enjoyed it!

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick 101

My favorite lipstick at the moment is the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 101.
It's the perfect everyday nude/pink shade.
It's creamy so it doesn't matter if your lips are chapped,
it will still look good on you. I usually apply a lip balm before I apply
the lipstick just to make sure the lipstick will look flawless.
It has a bit of shimmer but not too much, just the right amount.
Like I said the lipstick is perfect for a everyday makeup look
when you want to keep things natural. You can also use it when you
are going out and you want the focus on your eyes.
Maybe it's just me but I love the smell of Rimmel lipsticks.
It's not like a fruity smell or anything, it smells like a lipstick
sent from heaven! If you love lipsticks, you have to add this one
to your makeup collection.

2013 Favorites

2013 Favorites

Instead of doing my normal monthly favorites, I decided to do
2013 favorites! I have talked about almost every thing on this list except for
the real techniques brushes, which I recently got but I already love! I only have one
fashion favorite, which is my H&M skater skirt, I don't know how many times I have
worn it this summer and winter. I also have my Marc Jacobs dot perfume, my favorite
perfume this year. I also have my Ipad mini which i'm addicted to! OPI such
a Budapest, Nip+Fab body butter (read my review here), Organix renewing moroccan argan
oil shampoo & conditioner (read my review here), I also have my Maybelline BB cream and my
Burt's bees lip balm.
That's it for my 2013 favorties, I had a lovely year and I hope you
did too. I had so much fun writing this post and looking through old posts
on my blog. It has changed a lot since I wrote my first post last March.
Have a wonderful 2014!

Miss Sporty Lipstick - Innocence

I'm back from Amsterdam! It was so much fun and
Amsterdam  is so beautiful. I did some shopping there and by
some I mean a lot. So you will probably see more makeup reviews
and OOTD, which I haven't really done, but I really want to
add more fashion to my blog.
Anywayyyy I bought this lipstick in
Amsterdam and the color is sooooo pretty, it's a light bright pink, but it's not too
light so it's baby pink. It's from Miss Sporty, which
I normally don't buy makeup from but I saw the color and I immediately
wanted to buy it. The lipstick smells sooo good, like watermelon.
I haven't really used it a lot so I don't know for how long the lipstick
lasts, but it's really creamy. I would still recommend
that you wear it when your lips are not chapped or it won't look as good, as you
probably know. I will definitely wear this lipstick a lot!

November Favorites

November Favorites - purple--flamingo.blogspot.com

It's finally December! I love December, It's probably my favorite month!
Since it's the beginning of December I think it's time to show you my
November favorites. I don't have a lot of favorites this month (only one beauty
& one fashion!) but I promise, next month will be better because i'm going
to Amsterdam! I can't wait, I'm going to shop 'til I drop!
Let's get to my favorites!

I have been loving The Pepperment Tea from
Celestial. I like drinking it before I go to bed
and it tastes like peppermint! If you are a big
tea drinker you have to try this.

I bought this Dress from New Look last month
and it's so pretty. You can make it look really fancy
or you can dress it down. Everyone needs a
little black dress!

I have worn the OPI Skyfall so many
times! I'm not sure if you can still buy it
because it's like a year old, but I love
deep red nail polishes!

M&M Peanut Butter is probably my
favorite candy ever. What genius thought
of this?!

That's all for my favorites, hope you liked it!

My Beauty Wishlist

My Beauty Wishlist

I always have something on my beauty wishlist.
No matter how much I buy, there is always something
I want that I don't have. Believe me there are many more than
5 products on my beauty wishlist but if I tell you about
everything I want, you will be all day reading my post.
So I think it will be best if I just tell you about my top 5
products on my wishlist.

L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder
I really want to try this liquid powder.
I have heard great things about it but the packaging
isn't that great. First when you put it on your hand, it looks like
foundation but when you put it on you, it turns in to powder. I think
it's great for you if you don't want something as heavy as foundation.

OPI - My Favorite Ornament
This nailpolish is so pretty. I need it in my life!
Who doesn't looove glitter?
This is from the OPI Mariah Carey
Holiday Collection, check out the rest of the collection here.

Girl meets pearl - Benefit
I need a new highlighter and I really want to
try this one from Benefit. I've heard great things about it
and I think I will like it.

EOS lip balm
I love trying out new lip balms and the
lip balms from EOS are on the top of my list!
They all smell really good and everyone loves them.

MAC Lipstick
I really want to try the lipstick from MAC in Just a Bite.
It's a really pretty dark red color and it's perfect for winter.
Everyone knows that a dark red lipstick is a must for fall and
winter.

Hope you liked this post, tell me what's on
your beauty wishlist, or maybe not, because then
my wishlist will only get longer.

October favorites

October favorites

Here it is!
My October favorites.

Batiste - Dry Shampoo
I have been loving the dry shampoo from Batiste in coconut.
It gives your hair volume and your hair will smell
sooo good. I have been using it a lot this month and
I also find easier to work with my hair when I use it.

Braided Headband
It's pretty cold right now where I live, so
I'm always wearing my braided headband.
This headband is from H&M but it's not the same
as mine, I actually knitted my headband.
Braided headbands are so pretty and so much
better than wearing a normal boring headband

Burt's Bees Lip Balm
This is one of my favorite lip balms ever!
I have it in peppermint.
I have written a review on it, which you can
read heeereee. It also smells amaaazing, like
christmas!

Maybelline Eyeliner
This is the Eye Studio Master precise ink pen eyeliner
from Maybelline. It's very easy to use. I'm horrible
at putting on eyeliner but when I use this one,
it almost looks good :)
I definitely recommend this eyeliner.

This is it for my October favorties,
hope you enjoyed it.

My lip balms

In my previous post, I wrote about how you
can beat the cold, so in this post i thought I would
write about the lips balms I have been using.
Starting from right...

Blistex Lip Medex
The first time I tried this lip balm, I really liked it.
My lips weren't as chapped as they were, but
after using it for one week, my lips were just more and more
chapped. I still like to use it when my lips are super dry
but if I keep using it for a long time, it doesn't do
any good. I will rate this lip balm
2,5/5

Weleda Everon Lip Balm
I really like this lip balm and it works really well.
It doesn't completely leave my lips chapped-free but it
works rather well. It's moisturizing and I usually put it on
every 2-3 hours. I will rate this lip balm
4/5

Blistex Medicated Lip Balm
This lip balm worked ok for me. It didn't
leave my lips very dry but it didn't leave my lips chapped-free.
It will not work for me this winter, since my
lips tend to get really dry so f you have really dry lips, this lip balm may
not be the right lip balm for you. I will rate this lip balm
2,5/5

Labello Med Protection
To be honest, I have never really liked Labello,
but I needed a new lip balm and I had tried so many
that I thought it wouldn't hurt to try this one.
It did not work well for me. I felt like I had to constantly put the lip balm
on, so my lips wouldn't dry out!
So I will probably not buy any lip balms from Labello again.
I will rate this lip balm.
1/5

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm
This is the first lip balm I have bought from
Burt's bees, and let me tell you, I wasn't at all disappointed.
It smells so good, it has a strong peppermint smell, which kinda reminds
me of Christmas. It's super moisturizing and my lips are so much better
after using it.
I will rate this lip balm
4,5/5

Beat the cold!

Where I live it's already getting pretty cold.
My skin is rather dry so when it starts to get
cold, my skin gets even dryer.
I thought I would give you some tips
on how to beat the cold.

Number 1
Drink water
It's so important to drink enough water.
You should drink about 2 liters of water
everyday. If you are constantly using
moisturizers on your skin, you should
check if you are drinking enough water.

      Number 2
Make sure you don't lick your lips
and that your hands are completely dry
when you have washed them. This
will prevent your lips and hands getting dry

Number 3
Moisturize
Find a good moisturizer that is good
for your skin. I have a moisturizer for my face,
hands, lips and of course I use a body butter.

So these are the tips I have for
you, hope they are helpful!
